At R.M. Banning, Inc., we stand behind every shingle, siding panel, and window we install. This warranty ensures that if a leak or failure occurs due to how we installed your product, we’ll make it right.
🏠 What’s Covered?
We guarantee our workmanship on your Roofing, Siding, Windows, Doors, and Gutters. If an issue arises from the way the system was installed, we will perform the necessary repairs at no cost to you during the warranty term.
🛠️ How to Request Service
- Report Fast: If you notice a leak, tell us within 15 days. This helps us prevent major damage to your home’s interior.
- The First 12 Months: Inspections are always free.
- After 1 Year: A $125 Service Fee applies to inspection requests.
- The Good News: If the issue is covered under our warranty, we refund this fee entirely!
- If not: We apply the fee directly toward your repair ticket.
✅ Keeping Your Warranty Valid
To keep your protection active, please remember:
- Keep Your Paperwork: Retain a copy of your original contract and proof of payment.
- Give Us First Dibs: We must be the first ones called to inspect an issue. Repairs by other companies will void this warranty.
- Passing the Torch: Selling your home? You can transfer this warranty once to the new owner within 60 days of the sale (a $150 inspection/transfer fee applies).
⚠️ What’s Not Covered?
While we stand by our work, we aren't responsible for things outside our control:
- Nature & Pests: Damage from "Acts of God" (hail, high winds, floods) or uninvited guests like rodents, birds, or insects.
- Home Maintenance: Leaks caused by debris in gutters/valleys, or trees touching the house (keep those branches 3ft back!).
- Wear & Tear: Natural aging of materials or deterioration of maintenance items like caulk and sealants.
- Third-Party Add-ons: Damage from satellite dishes, solar panels, or security cameras installed by other companies.
- Windows & Doors: Broken glass, torn screens, or fogging between panes (usually a manufacturer issue).
- Cleaning: Please don’t power wash your siding or roof! High-pressure water can cause hidden damage.

This warranty covers only the services provided by R.M. Banning, Inc. and is in lieu of all other expressed or implied warranties. Our liability is limited to the original contract price of your project.

🛠️ Proactive Home Care: Keep Your Warranty Valid
To ensure your home remains protected, follow these simple seasonal maintenance tips:
- The 3-Foot Rule: Keep all tree branches trimmed at least 3 feet away from your roof and siding. This prevents "shingle scrubbing," animal access, and moisture trap.
- Clear the Valleys: Use a telescopic roof rake or a soft-bristle brush to remove leaves and pine needles from your roof valleys. Debris here acts like a dam, forcing water under the shingles.
- Gutter Check: Clean your gutters at least twice a year (Spring and Fall). Clogged gutters cause water to back up under the eave shingles or overflow behind your siding.
- Ground Control: For siding and doors, ensure mulch or soil is kept at least 6 inches below the bottom edge. This prevents rot and keeps wood-destroying insects away.
- Skip the Pressure: Never use a high-pressure power washer on your roof or siding. It can strip the protective granules off shingles and force water behind your siding panels. Use a garden hose and a mild detergent instead.
- Inspect the Seals: Once a year, do a walk-around to check for cracked or shrinking caulk. Touching up these areas prevents major leaks!
