Let the Sunshine in

The energy conscious owner of this commercial property in Fairfax County, VA was looking for a replacement roof and wanted to leverage the power of the sun as a natural light source. R.M. Banning worked with the customer to select and install a new roof and skylights to maximize the energy efficiency of the building.

Shakes to Slate

Depending on the look some homeowners desired, they could change the type of shingles used on their home. This homeowner switched from cedar shakes to asphalt for a clean, crisp look and feel.

New Millennium Kitchen

R.M. Banning provided design options, qualified carpenters and closely listened to the customer’s needs to make this outdated kitchen a room of comfort and efficiency. The demolition phase of the project was performed with great care and mindfulness to reduce the impact of the homeowners while they remained in the house during the project. The project stayed within budget and on schedule and the final phase and pictures tells it all.

The Power of Mother Nature

High winds from a storm caused a large tree to fall on this home resulting in structural damage to the roof and siding. R.M. Banning acted quickly to minimize additional damage and restore both for the customer on time and on budget. Expert care and craftsmanship were required to match the existing materials and blend both old & new seamlessly.

Rippon Landing

Commerical

The Rippon Landing community was built in the 1970′s. The siding used on the existing buildings was 21-30 plywood, which was top quality during that time. The 2009 exterior upgrade consisted of insulated board and batten vertical siding with accents of customer imitation cedar shakes in the top eves section. New seamless gutters were installed with hidden hangers and accented by aluminum maintenance-free PVC color coordinated trim.

This community has a new look and feel and definitely catches your eye when you drive by.

Dream Porch

Residential

Thirty years of waiting to have a porch built on the front of this house, the customer’s dream came true with a 10′ x 18′ maintenance free porch, complete with ceiling fans, wicker furniture and a new storm door just hours before Thanksgiving dinner was served.
